1/4 cup licorice root, cut and sifted
1/4 cup wild cherry bark, cut and sifted
1/8 cup fennel seed
a few pieces of cinnamon bark or cinnamon chips
a few shakes of dried orange peel
1/4 cup slippery elm bark, cut and sifted
I get all of my herbs from Frontier and keep a variety of them on hand for home-made remedies I use often.
Add the herbs to a small pot, add enough water to cover and simmer them on low heat for 20 minutes. Strain and add lemon juice and honey to your tea cup.
